About us
About JV Plumbing and how we work
We are plumbers working out of South Belt, on call around the clock for southeast Houston. Here is what we fix, how a job runs, and the things we refuse to do.
- Phones answered 24/7
- On Gulf Pointe Drive in South Belt, off Beltway 8
- Repairs, replacements, drains, sewer and gas work

Who we are
The work we take on, system by system
On the supply side, we find and fix leaks in copper, PEX, CPVC and the gray polybutylene still hiding in some attics, repair slab leaks by spot repair or reroute, replace yard lines and main shut-off valves, and repipe whole houses when the leaks keep coming back. On the drain side, we clear sinks and mains, run cameras, jet grease and roots out of lines, and repair or replace cast iron and clay sewer pipe, including under the slab.
We repair and replace tank, tankless and heat pump water heaters, and we flush and descale them because Houston water leaves scale. We install and repair faucets, toilets, shower valves, disposals and appliance hookups, and we handle the plumbing side of kitchen and bath remodels. Gas work covers leaks, new lines and the pressure test a red-tagged meter needs. For businesses, add grease traps, commercial heaters, backflow testing and new construction.
From your first call to a clean floor

A person answers, any hour. If water or gas is the problem, we start with safety on the phone: where the main shut-off is, how to close the valve on top of the water heater, when to leave the house. Then we tell you who is coming and a realistic window based on where the plumbers are.
On site, the first job is finding the cause. That might be a meter check, a pressure test on each side of the system, a camera down the cleanout, or acoustic listening over the slab. Once we know, we show you what we found and price the options before anything gets cut. After the repair, we test it under pressure or flow, clean up, haul off the old parts and walk you through what was done.

Where we work, and the Gulf Pointe Drive office
The office is on Gulf Pointe Drive in South Belt, just off Beltway 8 near Ellington. From there we cover the southeast side of Houston, from Pecan Park and the Hobby area down to Clear Lake, east along the ship channel to Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte and Baytown, and south to Pearland, Friendswood, League City and Seabrook. The service area page lists every neighborhood and city with the problems we see most there.
The plumbing library and who keeps it current

Many of the questions we get on the phone have the same answer every time, so we wrote them down. The plumbing library covers slab leak signs, water heater decisions, hard water and chloramine, freeze prep, sewer backups and gas red tags. Greta Wilburn, our Plumbing Library Editor, writes the guides and keeps them current as city reports and utility rules change.
What we won't do on your job
We won't push you into a replacement when a repair will hold. We won't open a wall, a ceiling or a slab until testing shows where the leak is. We won't hand you one option and call it the only one: when a slab leak can be fixed in place or rerouted, or a water heater can be repaired or swapped, you hear both with a price on each. And we won't leave a mess, or leave before the fix has been tested in front of you.

Often, yes. Tell us the model when you call so we can check that it fits the space, the fuel type and the connections. If something about it won't work in your house, we'll explain why before the visit.
Yes. The line is answered 24/7, holidays and weekends included, and night calls get the same troubleshooting on the phone as daytime calls.
