How you should clean the drainage system?
If your home has a lot of odors and you can’t find the source, consider checking your drainage system.
Clogged and dirty drains are an easy way to spread not only bad odors in your home, but also a lot of dangerous bacteria.
Step-by-step instructions on how to clean out the drain.
Some of the most common sewer systems to combat organic buildup, clogs and odors are bathroom and kitchen drains. This is because these drains carry the most water and debris. Sinks and showers that drain slowly can be really annoying. An empty toilet bowl can make anyone fear God, and we all know that feeling. So, to avoid all that, here’s how to clean and maintain your home’s drainage system.
Step 1: Remove possible drain blockages A sink, shower or toilet that drains slowly is usually caused by some blockage or buildup Naturally, the first thing you should do before clearing the drain is to treat the blockage. To do this, you can use a standard plunger that can be found in most supermarkets and home improvement stores. A bellows plunger is best suited for this task. Plungers can be used not only in toilets, but also in sinks and bathtubs.
Once enough water has accumulated, use the quick pump to unclog the drain. Note that if you have two sinks, the other drain must be closed and completely sealed.
Step 2: Eliminate odors Once your drains are clear of debris, clean them to eliminate the foul odors that permeate your home. You can choose from several easy methods.
First time. Using a complex of vinegar, baking soda and boiling water. This formula eliminates not only odors, but also the buildup of grease, bacteria and other organic residues. It’s also a good way to prevent future drain clogs. Pour a half cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by a half cup of white vinegar. Then plug the drain and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then pour hot water down the drain and remove it
